St. Mary’s Baptist Church – Ledbetter, TX
St. Mary’s Baptist Church, a venerable congregation with a rich 149-year history in Ledbetter, TX, is currently seeking a spiritual leader called by God to serve as their pastor. This church has long stood as a beacon of light in the community, placing strong emphasis on missions, service, and discipleship. The ideal candidate will be expected to uphold and potentially expand upon this legacy, guiding the congregation in its mission-oriented and service-focused endeavors. Experience with or passion for discipleship and evangelism would be particularly valuable in this role. Candidates are encouraged to thoroughly examine all provided materials to ensure they meet the requirements and understand the expectations of this significant pastoral role at St. Mary’s Baptist Church. We Seek a Pastor Who Will:
- Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- Feed God's flock and oversee church ministries
- Serve as teacher, shepherd, and administrator
- Lead by relying on the Holy Spirit and following Jesus' principles
- Exemplify Christ-like character, personal integrity, and individual discipleship
- Meet the qualifications described in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
Principal Responsibilities:
- Preaching and Teaching
- Leadership within our congregational style of church governance
- Pastoral care, including counseling, prayer, and visitation of the sick and shut-in
- Administering Baptism and the Lord's Supper
- Coordinating missions and outreach support (local, national, and international)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from Seminary (preferred)
- Minimum of six (3) years pastoral experience (preferred)
- Licensed and ordained Baptist minister (or ordained minister demonstrating authentic understanding and theological practices aligned with 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9)
